In the Jungle, the Mighty Jungle...

Bast squints at Orzad, willing the metal person to double over in pain. Why isn't this working? I'm doing exactly as Maman said, she thinks, frowning. Perhaps he is truly an abomination. If he has no real mental capabilities, it would not work. Perhaps I should try Goddard.

Lying on a mountain of pillows in the corner of the cabin, she turns her gaze to Goddard. Focusing all her being on him, she attempts her attack one more time. Nothing. With a sigh, she tries again. She imagines poking him, hoping that will give him just a little prick of pain instead of the full attack.

  1. Orzad start to gather up some materials to start explore the area near by. Orzad glances over and Bast and she's making a silly face at him then focuses her attention to Goddard on his pillows. "What you doing?" Orzad asked Bast

  2. Goddard notices Bast staring strangely at him. His tail flicks and he narrows his eyes, staring back at her. When Bast doesn't really do much afterward, he slowly turns away from her and gets comfortable again.

Suddenly, he winces and puts a hand to his head and groans. "Ow...that hurt...what the hell was that?" he mumbles and checks his hand to make sure he's not bleeding due to some invisible creature attacking his head.

  3. Bast jumps, covering her mouth and giggling. I did it! Can I do it again? Turning her face away, she watches Goddard out of the corner of her eye. Carefully guarding her face, she toys with her tarot cards. Silently, she waits for him to settle back down before doing it again.

  4. When Goddard sees his head is not bleeding and there is nothing around him that could have actually attacked him, he shrugs and puts his hands behind his head and sighs.

This world is full of things stranger than dreams...glad nothing is trying to eat my brain...for now...
